Who I Is

My photo
I like to do things. I also enjoy stuff. Although, I only enjoy stuff and things when that stuff and those things involve video games, music, or alcohol. And lots of it! I spend most of my time working. In my free time, when I'm not busy staring at the empty shotgun and full case of shells, I'm usually getting drunk and playing Playstation. I think I've said enough.

A New DS, a New Awakening.

So Monday night my friend James and I were working night shift. Well, its more of a mid shift, but that's not the point. Its a standard 3pm-12am shift, easy enough. Well, around 11:59pm we're getting ready to head out when we get word that we need to work until 6am. For the rest of the week. Upon hearing this news, the first thing that popped into my head was Seppuku. The second thing to pop into my head was "This won't be so bad, perhaps this is can be a good opportunity. An opportunity to purchase a new Nintendo DS." I decided to go with the latter.
I convinced James that this is a great idea, and us both having a Nintendo DS would lead to a world of intense gaming and unicorns and rainbows and fun...all while on the clock. So before our grueling 12 hour shift we both purchased the Nintendo DSi XL way too fucking big yet awesome edition. Needless to say, It was one of the greatest purchases I've ever made.
So after we both had the console box in our hands, we journeyed onto the games section. We stared at the Pokemon HeartGold and FagPurpleProbablyShouldHaveABetterNameForAGame for a good 10 minutes. We decided against the purchase, as we realized our manhood need not be questioned any further than it already has been. Instead we both picked up Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies. We decided to buy this because we are both fans of the generic, yet nostalgic RPG genre.
Needless to say, this game is fucking awesome. I spent the next week of work with my head buried balls deep into my DS playing the fuck out of this game. It saved my god damn life. Consecutive 12 hour shifts would have actually been miserable had I not purchased a DS and this game. Its fun, addicting, and...fun. In fact, James is on the couch still playing this game, and its Saturday. If you don't have this game, and you enjoy a good RPG, I recommend purchasing it.

  1. I remember the days when people based the DS in favor of the PSP.

Now the DS has blown every other competitor out of the water.
